"Good stories can change the way we think, feel, and respond to the most important issues of our time," Katy Jacobs, director of entertainment partnerships at the Natural Resources Defense Council, says in a press release.
"Climate change is no different."
The NRDC, the Black List, the Redford Center, and the CAA Foundation have announced the recipients of their fourth annual Climate Storytelling Fellowship, which aims to help screenwriters write films or TV scripts that grapple with climate change and its effects.
This year's recipientsElizabeth Chatelain, Marcus Tappan, and Sasha Stewart and Casey Randwill each receive a $20,000 grant and be paired with an entertainment industry professional who will help them develop their scripts, Variety reports.
The fellowship runs from 2024 to 2023.
